How to Rock Your First HOT HIIT® Class, What to Bring, Expect, and Wear

Walking Through That Door for the First Time

First things first: if you’re reading this, you’re already braver than you think. Stepping into your first HOT HIIT® class at Hot Phiit Darien can feel intimidating — but trust me, you’ll walk out feeling like a champion. Here’s exactly how to get ready so you can sweat, smile, and come back for more.

What to Wear

Comfort is key. Wear lightweight, moisture-wicking clothes you don’t mind getting drenched. Think fitted leggings or shorts and a tank or sports bra that lets you move freely. The FAR Infrared Heat turns up the sweat factor, so skip heavy cotton that sticks and go for breathable fabrics.

What to Bring

Your essentials: a large water bottle (hydration is everything), a yoga mat (we provide rentals if you forget), and a towel — trust me, you’ll need it. Many HOT HIIT® pros also bring an extra towel for the car ride home. You’ll thank yourself later.

What to Expect

When you step into the studio, you’ll feel the gentle warmth right away. The instructor will check in with you, offer tips for your first class, and remind you to pace yourself. In HOT HIIT® 55 or HOT HIIT® 45 EXPRESS, you’ll flow through upbeat intervals of strength and cardio moves synced to energizing music. Expect planks, squats, lunges, pulses — and lots of high-fives from classmates who were once newbies too.

Modifications Are Your Friend

We can’t say this enough: HOT HIIT® is for everybody. Modifications are always available. Take breaks, slow down, and listen to your body. Over time, you’ll surprise yourself by doing moves you once thought were impossible.

Hydrate Like a Pro

Drink water before, during, and after class. The FAR Infrared Heat helps flush out toxins, but you need to refill your tank to feel your best. We always recommend sipping water throughout the day, not just right before class.

One Class Is Just the Beginning

Most people feel an amazing high after their first HOT HIIT® session. But the real magic happens when you keep showing up. Muscles get stronger, confidence skyrockets, and you start craving that sweet, sweaty escape more than your morning latte.
